Should I choose 'Match Viewer', 'HTTP', or 'HTTPS' for ‘Origin protocol’?
The main difference between these options is whether the connection is secured by an SSL certificate or not.
Unless you have special requirements that exclusively need HTTP as the standard protocol, we strongly recommend using HTTPS or Match Viewer to establish a secured connection to avoid various types of attacks such as Man-in-the-Middle Attack.
Unlike HTTP and HTTPS, Match Viewer is a feature that automatically swaps between HTTP and HTTPS port for you.
With Match Viewer, mlytics will communicate with your origin using HTTP or HTTPS, depending on the protocol of the viewer request. For example, if you choose Match Viewer and the viewer uses HTTPS to request an image on your domain, mlytics will also use HTTPS to forward the request to your origin.
