How Stream Views are counted?
This article will help you understand how many users are viewing your videos in a given period of time.
You can find the view count metrics on your videos if you have enabled Streams within the platform. Once enabled, navigate to ‘ Analytics’ > ‘Stream’.
There are 3 levels of View count charts, namely: All streams level, selected stream level, and selected video level.
- All streams level: this view count chart can be found, when you select “All stream source” on the operation level panel. This provides the total views and global distribution of all the videos in all your stream sources.
- Selected stream level: this view count chart can be found, when you select a specific stream source on the operation level panel. This provides the total views and global distribution of all the videos in a specific stream source.
- Selected video level: this view count chart can be found, when you select a specific video file on the video list . This provides the total views, global distribution, and realtime monitoring of that specific video from a specific stream source.
Below are the descriptions of Total views, Global distribution, and Realtime monitoring.
Total views count how many users have viewed the video in a given date range. You can set the date range to 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, and custom date range.
Global distribution provides a world map that displays the number of viewers in each country.
Realtime monitoring counts the number of viewers on a specific video in real-time.
