How to bring a CDN I've subscribed to the platform?
If you already subscribed to a CDN outside of mlytics, you can bring it to the platform and use it along with other CDNs to take advantage of the AI Load Balancing feature for the best performance and availability for your domain.
Navigate to 'Power-Ups' and select 'Custom CDN', and you'll see all the available options you have.
Adding a custom CDN with available presets
There are a couple of custom CDN presets available already, if there's a preset for the CDN you'd like to bring to the mlytics platform, you can select it and start the configuration.
You'll have to select which of your domain on mlytics you'd like to install this custom CDN and fill in the CNAME of that CDN. Once done, hit 'install' and this custom CDN should be installed on the domain you've selected. You can double-check in the 'Installed Power-Ups' section.
Adding a custom CDN from scratch
If you cannot find a preset for your CDN, click on 'Add custom CDN' on the Custom CDN Section.
Here, you can create a new preset by filling the following fields:
- Custom CDN name: Give this preset a name, you can simply fill it with the CDN's name (e.g. Incapsula) or just give it a random name
- Reference URL/path: A resource/path that's currently using the CDN you're intending to bring to the platform. This helps the system identify which CDN you're referring to
- Introduction: Give this preset an introduction.
The reference URL file size should not exceed more than 20 kb
If you're done, hit 'Next', and you'll have to select which of your domain on mlytics you'd like to install this custom CDN, and fill in the CNAME of that CDN.
Once completed, hit 'install' and this should be installed on the domain you've selected. You can double-check in the 'Installed Power-Ups' section.
Adding a custom CDN from scratch is only available for Enterprise users.
