How to configure my DNS provider for mlytics DNS verification and CNAME setup?

If you're having trouble adding a CNAME record via your DNS provider, this guide will walk you through the process via some of the common DNS providers. Please find your DNS provider below and follow the process to complete the configuration. If you cannot find your DNS provider below, please reach out to us.

We highly recommend using a subdomain as your main domain throughout the setup process due to the limited support from some DNS providers for APEX (root) domain.

Before you go further, here are some quick explanations of the commonly used terminology used in the guide below. This will give you a better idea of what they mean and how they look like:

DNS verification

  • mlytics assigned NS record name: mlytics will provide a record name during the DNS verification process, it usually looks like this:

If you're configuring for a  root domain, remove everything after _acme-challenge after copy-pasted it to your DNS

in the case of a  subdomain, remove everything after _acme-challenge.{subdomain} after copy-pasted it to your DNS (e.g. if the domain you have on mlytics is 123.abc.com, then your record name should look like: _acme-challenge.123)

  • mlytics assigned NS content: This usually comes along with a record name, it usually looks like this:

CNAME setup

  • Your domain: Depending on what you added on mlytics, either a root domain (e.g. abc.com) or a subdomain (e.g. 123.abc.com)

If you're configuring for a  root domain, enter '@' or leave blank (this may vary depending on the DNS provider, please double before proceeding)

in the case of a subdomain, enter only the subdomain (e.g. if the domain you have on mlytics is 123.abc.com, then enter 123)

  • mlytics assigned CNAME: During the CNAME setup process, the system will assign a unique CNAME to you, it usually looks like this:
